Kia ora, Hello, I’m Faye Joy Winmill

I speak for the trees and the ever-evolving nature of Science.

I believe my life’s work and role in this world is to help others by making their lives simpler.

We may do this together in many different ways, but the prime way is through the way we talk. When we speak to each other, we can distil things down to their core, making us invaluable to many people.

In a world becoming more complex and serious by the minute, I believe I am here to help release the pressure on people's minds and resources.

Finding softness is now our way to lead life, clarity of insight comes when we let go of holding onto the way we think things need to be. Our nervous system responds to softness and kindness. When we are kind in the mind the nervous system can trust, and this is when we can bring true and healthy change to our lives.

Remaining independent for as long as possible has become one of my greatest passions to share in this life.

Witnessing a loved one fading away with Alzheimer’s in an institution has changed every part of who I am today. It has been a powerful life-changing experience, that has shown me my true purpose and given more meaning to my life. It has taken me on a WILD journey re-educating myself outside of what feels to be a stuck, dated and sick system.

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete”

— Buckminster Fuller

Freedom from Resentment and Regret

I believe in Evolution “The balance to our gifts of self-expression is that we are all to be rebellious spirits and that every now and then we cannot be contained. Let our gifts lead the way, breaking old patterns and finding new ways of looking at things. Our test in this life is to live with this dangerous spark inside us. We may go through long phases in which our life seems to be moving in a single direction and then suddenly, unexpectedly, everything changes and veers off in another direction. Because we know this spirit inside of us, we can understand the fear of change in other human beings. Our lives are about learning to love the unexpected and trusting the part of us that doesn't know where we are going or why. As long as we listen to our innermost voice — the soft, strong voice — we will always feel at ease, even in times of great transition”

We are highly tactile beings. At the deepest level, our sense of touch extends into more subtle realities as well. Our environment is critical it needs to feed our spirits rather than drain us. On the other hand, we need to be careful not to become hypersensitive to people and places, because this makes us a victim of them. If we can catch the right balance between being mentally clear and emotionally sensitive, we will be able to handle any environment or person without feeling energetically swamped. When we are clear emotionally, we radiate an acute sense of purpose or mission, and many things become very clear. Having strong clear principles in life is important as it creates boundaries that allow us to feel safe.

Life will very likely lead us into some interesting relationship patterns that challenge our ability to forgive. Forgiveness is the truest purpose of our lives. It is a lesson we must learn again and again at times, then hopefully we together can help others to do the same. Nothing whatsoever is gained through blame. Blame is simply an externalized projection of our victim-hood. As we go through life's experiences, we are being given a beautiful opportunity to understand human beings and their suffering, and in understanding where their suffering comes from, to forgive them and let them be.

Biography is written based around my Gene keys.

This is a truly incredible power that we hold, and no matter what we do in life, the only thing that matters is that we live free from resentment and regret, loving and trusting in the greater flow and tempo behind it all.

Life before yin

I was born and raised in the small seaside village of Waikouaiti, Otakou, Aotearoa.

I have been travelling since the age of 17 and life has taken me on quite the journey around the globe as a private chef working on some of our world's finest Super Yachts.

Time at sea and confined to a galley had me thinking about taking a long walk. This was when I discovered the Camino de Saintago, an old pilgrim trail that followed the stars. I chose to leave from Paris, six months later finding myself in Finisterre.

Yoga found me in the Bahamas in 2007 (facilitating/teaching since 2012) when I was working as a chef on a yacht, full of anxiety and stuck in deep dark depression. I was lucky to stumble upon an Ashram nestled amongst the madness of Nassau, and from then on yoga has been guiding me out of darkness, and into the light. I was privileged to spend time with Masaru Emoto and Doctor David Frawley during my time in Nassau.

Then onto the jungle of Costa Rica where I spent a year at Pavones Yoga Centre during that time I was taught by Indira Kate Kalmbach and Chris Crotty.

Time in India led me to spending an extended period of time in Varanasi and Rishikesh and in various Temples and Ashrams along the way.

Life changed the day we found out Mum Joy (age 59) had Alzheimer's in 2012, from that moment onwards I have been studying and researching outside of the system to find answers to what is becoming a global silent pandemic it has become a very large part of everything I now do.

Joy passed in 2022 aged 69

Someone in the world develops Dementia every 3 seconds. There are over 55 million people worldwide living with dementia in 2020. This number will almost double every 20 years, reaching 78 million in 2030 and 139 million in 2050. Much of the increase will be in developing countries. Already 60% of people with dementia live in low and middle income countries, but by 2050 this will rise to 71%.

Dementia is an umbrella term for a collection of symptoms that are caused by disorders affecting the brain and impact on memory, thinking, behaviour and emotion.

Learning to navigate true health and wellness

My studies, research and travels have led me to Dr. Dale Bredesen and to an incredible centre that has been created in San Diego where they are now educating, preventing and reversing Alzheimer's and Dementia.

My hope for the future is that such a Center will be brought here to Wānaka.

Remaining open to learning how to navigate true health and wellness without a one-size-fits-all outlook is of great importance if we are truly to step into health.

Kathleen Nora Bower has been an incredible influence in my life. I have always believed in the power of cure and when we go to the root cause we find our remedy. Kathleen certainly does this with her incredible knowledge and technology.

Time with Kathleen has been a life changing experience and will always be deeply greatful for the day Kathleen entered my life.

Life can become so busy and it is generally SELF that gets put to the side.

Spending time in nature is without a doubt one of the most important things we can do. The Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, or Forest Bathing, is good for both physical and mental wellbeing.
